Anyway, the Dr. gave her some medicine FINALLY that was supposed to make her to go sleep. It freaked her out instead. She was having bad thoughts etc. Then they gave her some oral medication to see if that would knock her out, still nothing. Then they gave her some more oral medication and it still didn't do anything. So they said they were going to finally give her an IV which they should have done in the first place. When the Dr. came in they decided to numb it and infiltrate it at the same time without her being asleep. She screamed. It was sooooo awful. I told them to stop and put the IV in. They didn't listen unfortunately. After they did that they started the stitches. It took over an hour for them to stitch her up and she felt it towards the end. During the stitching some stitches broke so they had to do it again. They had to glue it too especially at the top because of a flap of skin that couldn't be sewn very well. So there's the story.
She is down for a while and can't walk on it. She is in quite a bit of pain but thanks to our pediatrician he gave her some stronger medication to help with that. She can rest better now. Thanks for letting me vent about the awful hospital! We were told by a friend who is a Dr. that we need to report how they did it. They ALWAYS make sure the child is asleep during something like this. Poor Taylor. She is one tough cookie! And she can only get better from here!
